Lightning is the source of your pain and liberation. Lightning strikes, and everything is thrown into high relief: that which was obscured comes to the foreground, and that which you were peering at, through the darkness, becomes less important. What have you been missing? What have you been looking for as you pick your way forward through rain and mist and darkness? Lightning is the liberator, but there is always a cost. Some things are difficult to look upon. Other things may burn to the ground, leaving ash as compost upon the wet soil. No matter what happens, everything has changed.
We may as well learn to embrace it.
